Out of an abundance of caution for everyone’s safety due to freezing temperatures and winter weather, school will be closed tomorrow. NOLA PS recommends school closure for all New Orleans Public Schools in the message below:
“The safety and well-being of our school communities remain our top priority. In an abundance of caution and consideration for the well-being of our students and staff, NOLA-PS is advising the closure of schools on Tuesday, January 16th, due to potentially hazardous weather conditions. The decision is driven by concerns about travel safety for students and staff members, compounded by the closure of surrounding school parishes, which may result in coverage challenges.”
All high school sports games and practices are canceled until school resumes.
