In September 2018, middle and high school parents were sent personalized confidential information necessary for access to our new school information system, Powerschool. Parents and students can view classes, assignments and grades as well as attendance in this online portal. Either parents or students can track a child’s academic progress from any location that has internet access. If you do not have internet access, the public library has computers available to access your child’s records. Our school offices also offer computer access and assistance as needed.

Within middle and high school advisories, students were provided the Access ID and Access Password required to access PowerSchool. The student doesn’t need to create a PowerSchool account. Students should ask for support for PowerSchool from their advisor.

1. Parents are required to CREATE an ACCOUNT in a web browser either on a mobile device or computer (see screenshot)

2. Parents create their own username and password for a PowerSchool parent account.

3. When linking students to a parent account, use “Your Confidential ID” and “Your Password” in the parent information letter. Do not use the child’s ID and password when creating a parent account.

Please note: After the parent account is created in a browser first, access to the PowerSchool Mobile app is available. The parent’s newly-created username and password must be used to login. Our school mobile code is QCJP.

Since MJCS is releasing this portal for first time, the potential for technical issues is high. IMPORTANT: PYP parents received PowerSchool access information on the first quarter report card and can review their child’s progress and attendance throughout the year. PowerSchool will not be available to PYP students.
