Curriculum: Grades 8–12
At Morris Jeff Community School, our high school program offers a rigorous, internationally recognized curriculum through the International Baccalaureate (IB).
Grades 8–10: The Middle Years Programme (MYP)
Students in grades 8–10 participate in the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), which challenges them to make practical connections between their studies and the real world. Through inquiry-based learning, students explore a broad range of subjects while developing critical thinking, creativity, and global awareness. The MYP encourages independence and collaboration, preparing students for the academic and personal demands of the upper grades.
Grades 11–12: Diploma Programme (DP) and Career Pathways
In grades 11 and 12, students have multiple pathways to pursue their interests and goals:
-
Full IB Diploma Programme (DP): A rigorous, two-year program recognized by colleges and universities worldwide, blending academic depth with research, creativity, service, and international-mindedness.
-
Individual DP Courses: Students may opt to take one or more DP classes in areas of personal strength or interest, without committing to the full Diploma Programme.
-
Career & Technical Education (CTE): We also offer CTE courses that provide practical skills, hands-on experience, and career-focused preparation, complementing our IB offerings and giving students multiple options for future success.
Preparing for the Future
Whether pursuing the full IB Diploma, selected DP courses, or CTE pathways, all students graduate from Morris Jeff equipped to think critically, act compassionately, and lead confidently in an interconnected world.
