It is my pleasure to welcome you to Morris Jeff Community School. We proudly honor the legacy of our namesake, Morris F.X. Jeff, Sr.—one of New Orleans’ most dedicated advocates for children.
I have had the privilege of serving this community since writing its charter almost 17 years ago. From the very beginning, when Morris Jeff Community School was just an idea, I knew what our school could become and the opportunities our students would have in a space designed to nurture their potential. I am proud of what we have built together.
Today, we serve more than 1,400 students across two campuses and are proud to be an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in all grades, from PK through 12. Our program is both developmentally appropriate and academically challenging, fostering growth, curiosity, and academic success.
We are committed to cultivating Empowered Dreamers, Global Citizens, Equity Champions, and Relentless Learners. We are helping to form young people who will shape a more just, peaceful, and connected world.
I am deeply grateful to our families who continue to believe in our mission. I look forward to partnering with you as we carry this work forward.
