All students in Grade 9 are expected to attend Freshman Orientation on July 18th and 19th from 9:00 – 12:30 pm. Orientation is mandatory.
Freshman Orientation is a two-day program to ensure students in Grade 9 have a smooth orientation to high school. Orientation is designed for students to build a strong connection with our 9th-grade team and understand our school culture.
Students can wear clothes approved by our Dress Code Policy and should bring a positive attitude, a pen/pencil, and water to drink. Food will not be provided, and cell phones and electronic devices are not allowed. Enter the building on Miro St. Exit the building on Alvar.
Students will meet their advisor and engage in activities with your advisor to spotlight our wonderful school and what it means to be a Morris Jeff Community Pelican. The activities familiarize students with our IB program, facilities, and school community, all aimed at making your 9th-grade year a success. Students will receive their schedule, find their classes, ask questions, meet the administration, and interact with their advisor for the upcoming year.
