The IB Learner Profile
The IB learner profile is a set of ten attributes that all IB schools strive to instill in students:
- Caring
- Principled
- Knowledgeable
- Open-minded
- Inquirer
- Communicator
- Reflective
- Thinker
- Risk-taker (courageous)
- Balanced
These attributes connect all IB students, programmes, and schools as part of the commitment of IB to help create a better and more peaceful world. In elementary school (PYP), some of the ways we encourage students to adopt the attributes of the IB learner profile are:
- Celebrating one Student of the Week from each PK-5 class and one PYP Class of the Week who has been exhibiting our learner profile attribute from the week.
- Incorporating the learner profile attributes into classes and content areas
