In 2022-2023, Morris Jeff Community School will offer a before and after-school program called Explorers for students in PreK through 5th grade. For Grades 6-8, visit this page.
Each morning, we offer Before Care every school day from 7:00 am to 8:15 am for students in PreK – 5th grades at the elementary campus. The cost for Before Care is $50.00 per week and begins on August 8, 2022.
We continue our partnership with Young Audiences (YA) to provide teaching artists to come to our elementary campus for enrichment instruction in visual and performing arts after school. We are participating in a grant that YA received to pay for the programming for 1st – 5th grade students at no charge to families. Aftercare begins promptly after school and runs until 5:00 pm, Mondays through Thursdays. Aftercare is NOT available on Fridays. On Fridays, students should go home via carpool, walk up or bus at regular dismissal time.
NOTE! Updated for 2022-23 is that we will be operating one dismissal for Explorers at 5:00 pm from the office on Cleveland St. Families should not come and pick up students from the office before 5:00 pm. Our artists expect students enrolled to be present for the full session in order to effectively provide a quality program and experience, and to prepare and rehearse for performances.
We also offer after-school childcare to PreK and K students, staffed by Morris Jeff teaching assistants. The fee for this care is $50 per week, Monday through Thursday. Aftercare is not available on Fridays. On Fridays, students should go home via carpool, walk up or bus at regular dismissal times.
Note: Bus transportation is NOT available after Explorers.
Aftercare begins on August 22, 2022 and ends on May 18, 2023.

Morris Jeff Explorers Aftercare Program does not offer drop-in services. To adequately staff our classes, we must have an accurate count of the number of students participating in the aftercare program.
