Admissions to Morris Jeff
As a Type 3B Charter school, Morris Jeff Community School uses the NOLA-PS Common Application Process (NCAP) for accepting new students to our school.
ARE YOU NEW TO NOLA-PS?
Students who have never attended a NOLA Public School may enroll in open seats on a first-come, first-served basis on or after September 15, 2025. Placements are made in person at the Family Resource Centers based on seat availability. Families new to the system must provide parent/guardian identification, proof of residency, the child's birth certificate, and the most recent report card. Schools may require additional documents.
Mid-Year Transfers
Starting September 15, students are not permitted to transfer between schools because of preference. When a NOLA-PS student needs to change schools mid-year, the family submits a Hardship Transfer Request or Accelerated Transfer Request.
The Hardship Transfer Categories & Requirements (en Español) (Tiếng Việt) document outlines the eligible hardship transfer reasons, along with brief descriptions and the requirements for supporting documentation.
K-12 Main Round for 2026-2027 (opens November 3, 2025)
Note: Families should not complete the NCAP if their students plan to return to Morris Jeff Community School or if they require a 2025-2026 school placement.
