General Music Program

Our PK-4th-grade music program embraces the Orff Schulwerk philosophy, creating a dynamic and engaging environment where children can explore music through movement, speech, and instrument play. Inspired by the belief that every child is a natural musician, we emphasize active participation, creativity, and collaboration.

Students experience a rich curriculum that includes singing, dancing, and playing a variety of instruments, from xylophones to drums. By integrating music with storytelling and imaginative play, we nurture each child's innate sense of rhythm and melody while fostering social skills and self-expression.

Our program encourages children to discover the joy of making music together, helping them develop a lifelong love for the arts. Through this hands-on approach, we aim to cultivate confident and enthusiastic musicians who are ready to share their talents with the world.

The Morris Jeff Ensemble

The ensemble is a lively and welcoming music group for 4th and 5th-graders, where every child’s creativity has a place! Our inclusive, no-audition policy ensures that all students can explore music through movement, speech, singing, and playing instruments like xylophones, metallophones, and drums. Meeting weekly after school, we dive into music from a variety of cultures, encouraging teamwork, improvisation, and creativity. Throughout the year, our young musicians share their work at special events, including the Fall Fair, Winter Celebration, and Spring Concert. Together, they grow as performers, collaborators, and joyful creators of music from around the world.
