In 2021-2022, Morris Jeff Community School will offer a before and after-school program called Explorers for students in Pre-K through 8th grade. As most of you know, we were unable to offer after-school programs last year due to COVID, and we are excited that we have the opportunity to offer them this year.

We will continue our partnership with Young Audiences (YA) to provide teaching artists to come to both our elementary and middle school campuses for enrichment instruction in visual and performing arts. This year we are participating in a grant that YA received to pay for the programming for 1st – 8th grade students at no charge to families. After-school programs will begin promptly after school and run until 5:30 pm, Mondays through Thursdays. After care is not available on Fridays.

We will also offer after-school childcare to PreK and K students, staffed by our Morris Jeff employees.  The fee for this care is $50 per week, Monday through Thursday. Look for future communication explaining the payment system. The same free bus transportation will be provided per the same schedule as noted above paragraph. Aftercare is not available on Fridays.

Free bus transportation (yellow school bus) will be provided by the school via Apple Bus Company beginning October 4. Buses will depart the elementary school at 5:00 pm, and the middle school at 5:15 pm. If you do not wish for your child to ride the bus home, you must pick up your child by 5:30 pm each day. Stop information has been sent to families who requested an aftercare bus stop.

After-school programs began on September 20 and will end on May 19.

Finally, we will also be offering Morning Care every morning beginning at 7:00 am for students in PreK – 5th grades at the elementary campus.  The cost for morning care is $25.00 per week.

Click HERE to register your child and reserve your child’s seat in Explorers.
The deadline is July 23, 2021. Waiting list is available.

More information will be sent to families participating in paid programs (PK, K and Morning Care).

Morris Jeff Community School Aftercare Program does not offer drop-in services. It is imperative that we get an accurate count of the number of students participating in the Aftercare program in order to adequately staff our classes.
