As a Type 5 Charter school, Morris Jeff Community School follows the Application Process and Timeline of the Recovery School District (RSD). The application is a one page document that is used to apply for all grades and will be made available IN OUR SCHOOL OFFICE ONLY. The timeline for the applications process is below:

February 6, 2012
Applications are available at the school office (Note that there is NO electronic application this year.)

March 31, 2012
Application Deadline

Week of May 1, 2012
Notification letters will be mailed out

May 19, 2012
Deadline to enroll student for 2012-2013 school year (Please note that enrollment requires 3 proofs of residency in Orleans Parish, picture ID for parent, and child’s birth certificate, social security number, and up-to-date immunization records, along with other forms required by the school.)

Important Notes

Preference for all classes is given to siblings of students presently enrolled at Morris Jeff, to students who are presently in schools that are closing, and to K-8 students who live in the 70119 zip code (only for up to 50% of the available seats in the school).
